Biography
Paul Aveyard is a public health physician and general practitioner. He trained as a doctor in London and worked in London, South Africa, and Oxford before moving to Birmingham to train in public health and general practice. He works at the University of Birmingham and is a National Institute of Health Research Career Scientist. His current work concerns interventions for cancer patients to prevent recurrence and other trials of pharmaceutical and behavioural interventions in smoking cessation. He also works for the local PCT, and as a GP.
