Abstract
The Smoking Cessation Service Research Network (SCSRN) is a co-operative of UK Stop Smoking Services that are interested in being involved in research to develop their own performance and determine best practice nationally. Its aim is to facilitate high quality evaluation of innovations in clinical practice. Membership of the SCSRN is open to any NHS Stop Smoking Service who subscribes to the Russell Standard. The hub of the network is its website (www.scsrn.org) through which members have access to clinical and research resources and a discussion forum through which they can submit questions or research ideas. The SCSRN is currently collaborating with colleagues on several research projects.

Including:

(1) The first Annual Stop Smoking Advisors Survey,

(2) Piloting a satisfaction survey for service users,

(3) Research regarding word of mouth referrals, and

(4) The use of NRT with mental health patients.
