Abstract
This presentation will outline the national support and development programme offer for commissioning (via online commissioning tools) stop smoking support in secondary care settings. It will go on to outline the development and implementation plan for an initial pilot phase, then rollout of, a national approach to supporting all smokers who enter secondary care. This programme aims to support ethos change in secondary care to maximise the potential to reach and support smokers to stop, and to maximise the potential of any planned or unplanned secondary care interventions via cohesive and evidence based support mechanisms and systems.
