        Biography

        Alexis completed her registered nurse and Midwifery training in Aberdeen. She initially worked in Coronary Care and gained further cardiac experience including cardiac rehab in Sydney, Australia and St John’s Hospital Livingston where she obtained a professional studies module in cardiac nursing.

        Alexis gained a diploma in advanced nursing from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh before joining the Stop for Life project, which won a national award in 2005. This project provided innovative smoking cessation support to pregnant women.

        Alexis currently thrives on the challenges of developing and integrating an effective stop smoking service into all departments within St John’s Hospital.
