        Biography

        Lucy Crystal has 12 years of Public Health experience working across both the South West and the North East. Work has ranged across various settings and topics, including accident prevention, nutrition and physical activity. Prior to working for Smokefree South West, Lucy has worked in varying roles including Community Development work in the ex-mining villages of Easington, supporting Bristol secondary schools to achieve the National Healthy Schools Status and managing the Torbay Stop Smoking Service. Lucy has achieved an MSc in Public Health and is passionate about ensuring local communities are empowered and have the necessary information to enable them to make healthy choices.

        Lesley Thomas has been working in smoking cessation and tobacco control for 15 years now.  In this time she has set up programmes for young people, implemented comprehensive smoking cessation models in secondary care, set up and run local Alliances and commissioned primary and secondary care stop smoking services.  She is currently the Tobacco Control Programme Manager and Commissioner for Devon County Council and co-ordinates the Devon Smokefree Alliance which received a CLeaR Award in 2013 for Excellence in Tobacco Control.
