        Caroline Smith  PhD Researcher, Centre for Population Health Sciences, University of Edinburgh

        Biography

        Caroline Smith is currently a PhD Researcher at the University of Edinburgh, with a particular interest in: (1) qualitative approaches to exploring how people experience, understand and navigate social network responses to their smoking cessation attempts; and (2) developing, and evaluating, social network-based interventions aimed at supporting individuals to stop smoking. She has previously worked as a medical statistician in both the NHS and university sectors, primarily within the fields of cancer and substance misuse.
