        Abstract

The amount it costs a provider to deliver a 4 week quit has been discussed many times in the contexts of both commissioning and providing stop smoking services. Within these discussions, different levels of interventions for different populations have been suggested, leading to differential potential cost per quits. In this  presentation we will present the findings of an analysis of 11 stop smoking services data (80221 patient records) to provide comprehensive cost per co validated and self reported quits (both inclusive and exclusive of medications) for:

        General ‘average’ smokers

        Pregnant smokers

Smokers from Routine and Manual occupational groups

        Smokers with mental health conditions

        Smokers with Long Term Conditions

Source of funding: Quit 51 Stop Smoking Service (north 51) and Biomedical Research Unit, OUH.

Declaration of interest: Dr Walker, and Hayley Bates declare no conflict of interest with respect to the presented research.
