        Biography

        Lorna Bennett is a Speciality Registrar in Public Health working in Public Health Wales.  Lorna joined the public health training scheme in 2009 following employment as a Senior Health Promotion Specialist, researcher and secondary school teacher. She undertook the evaluation of the MAMSS project during an academic placement at Cardiff University as part of her training. Research interests include early years public health and the evaluation of complex interventions, having previously worked on the ASSIST randomised controlled trial at Cardiff and Bristol Universities.

        Aimee Grant is a Research Fellow at Cardiff University’s Institute of Primary Care and Public Health.  Her research interests are qualitative methodologies, tobacco control and smoking cessation and early years public health.  Her current research includes the MAMSS project; adapting the ASSIST youth smoking prevention programme to include a drug prevention element (ASSIST + Frank); evaluating The Filter, youth smoking cessation service; and examining the use of social media by users of tobacco products.
