        Abstract
Securing the future of tobacco control and smoking cessation services – the decision makers’ perspective

        Presenter(s)

Hilary Wareing  Director, Improving Performance in Practice (iPiP) and the Tobacco Control Collaborating Centre

        Abstract

Tobacco control and smoking cessation services are operating in an increasingly challenging financial environment. It is now more important than ever to ensure that these vital services are valued. An understanding of the rationale for funding via LAs and CCGs, and how those funding decisions are made, is required to secure the future of service delivery.

Attend the Johnson & Johnson Ltd. symposium to:

        1. Hear about available tools and understand how these can be utilised to make the case for tobacco control in your locality (Chair: Hilary Wareing, Director, Public Management Associates, Tobacco Control Collaborating Centre)

        2. Understand the decision makers' perspective - presentations from a panel of experts, including responses to pre-submitted questions

        3. Receive advice on how to ensure tobacco control and smoking cessation are high on the local public health agenda

        Date of preparation: April 2016
