        Biography

        Annette Burns is a scholar on the SPHeRE PhD Programme in Population Health and Health Services Research. She has a first class honours degree in Psychology (NUI, Galway) and a first class honours MSc in Applied Social Research (Trinity College Dublin). Currently, she is based in the department of Psychology in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Annette’s PhD research involves exploring the impact of smoking and the quality of cessation support provided in those with mental health problems in Ireland and also seeks to evaluate a solution or strategy to combat this problem.
