        Biography

        Martin Dockrell has a long standing interest in harm reduction and in researching the "user perspective" of public health interventions. His first presentation at an international conference was almost 25 years ago and reported on the impact of a north London needle exchange scheme. He has been involved in research exploring the perspectives of transgendered sex workers, men using public sex environments, recreational drug users and victims of sexual violence.

        Martin has been involved in tobacco control for a little of 10 years including 5 years as head of policy at Asthma UK and 6 years at Action on Smoking and Health.
